Fruit or Vegetable?

Turnip

Is a Turnip a Fruit or Vegetable?
Botanically, this is...
Culinarily, this is...

Turnips are the main roots of turnip plants that people eat. They’re pretty round, but they’re not fruits at all. Something has to be a fruit botanically for it to be one culinarily, and turnips don’t contain seeds. Plus, like, they’re not sweet at all. You would put them in regular vegetable salad, not a fruit salad.
